Jump Starter Battery Feature & Classfication

At present, there are the following types of emergency starting power sources in the world, but no matter which type they are, they all have higher requirements on the discharge rate.

  • Lead-acid

    1. Traditional flat lead-acid batteries: the advantages are cheap, extensive and durable, and high temperature safety; the disadvantages are bulky, frequent charging and maintenance, dilute sulfuric acid is easy to leak or dry out, and it cannot be used at low temperatures below 0 °C.

    2. Winding battery: the advantages are cheap, small and portable, safe at high temperatures, usable at low temperatures below -10°C, easy to maintain, and long life; the disadvantage is that it is relatively large in volume and weight, and has fewer functions than lithium batteries.

  • Lithium-ion

    1. Polymer lithium cobalt oxide battery (LiCoO2): the advantages are small, beautiful, multi-functional, portable, and long standby time; the disadvantage is that it will explode at high temperature, cannot be used at low temperature, complex protection circuit, cannot be overloaded, small capacity, and high-quality products are expensive.

    2. Lithium iron phosphate battery (LFP): the advantages are small and portable, beautiful, long standby time, long life, higher temperature resistance than polymer batteries, and can be used at low temperature below -10 °C; disadvantages are that high temperature above 70 °C is unsafe, the protection circuit is complex, and the capacity is relatively high. Winding batteries are smaller and more expensive than polymer batteries.

  • Capacitors

    Supercapacitors: the advantages are small and portable, the discharge current is large, the charging is fast, and the life is long;

How to jump start a car with a battery pack

The principle of the vehicle emergency power supply is:

  1. When the mains is normal, the mains supply power to the important loads through the mutual investment device, and at the same time, the mains detection and battery charging management are carried out, and then the battery pack provides DC energy to the inverter;

  2. When the mains power supply is interrupted or the mains voltage exceeds the limit, the mutual switching device will immediately switch to the inverter to supply power. With the support of the DC energy provided by the battery pack, the power used by the user’s load is through the eps inverter converted AC power.

The main body of the vehicle’s emergency power supply is a battery, and its basic function is to store electrical energy. When the vehicle battery is frozen or faulty, it can be used as a starting system for starting cars, trucks, ships, etc. with a voltage of 12v without any AC power supply. 

How to avoid a dead battery

The vehicle needs to be driven regularly in order for the alternator to keep the battery charged. If you need to park the car for a long time, it is recommended to unplug the terminal of the battery to reduce power consumption. At the same time, it is recommended to drive the car for at least 20 minutes per week.

At the same time, in order to maintain the normal and stable operation of the battery, it is recommended to regularly check and replace the car battery.

If you live in a warmer climate, you should test your battery load once a year, and if you live in a cooler climate, you should test your battery load 2 times a year. Doing so can test its ability to maintain voltage while in use and detect problems in time.
