How to make 12V li-polymer battery?

The assembly of 12V polymer lithium-ion battery is even simpler. Cons and Pros of 12V Li-polymer Battery

  • Good safety performance. The polymer lithium battery is unique in structure, and its proprietary aluminum packaging setting will not cause explosions even in the event of a safety hazard.

  • Small thickness. The polymer lithium battery overcomes the bottleneck of the thickness of the lithium battery, realizes an ultra-thin setting, and can also be assembled into a credit card.

  • Lightweight. The polymer lithium battery does not need a metal shell as the outer packaging, and is 40% lighter than the steel shell lithium battery of the same capacity in terms of quality, and 20% lighter than the aluminum shell battery.

  • Large capacity. Compared with steel shell batteries of the same size, polymer lithium batteries are 10-15% higher in electric capacity.

  • The shape can be customized, and the polymer lithium battery manufacturer can make the cell model according to the customer’s requirements, and the customization is quick.

  • The design of the protective plate is simple, and because the materials used are all polymers, the telecommunications will not cause explosions and have sufficient safety.

  • Polymer batteries are more expensive to manufacture and have decreased in terms of energy density and cycle times. Since polymer lithium batteries do not have a fixed standard form factor, most batteries are developed for the high-capacity market, hindering its development in this regard.

Tips for lithium battery charging

  1. First make sure you are using the correct charger. 1C charging does take a little while, but this charging speed is the easiest for your Li-Ion battery charger and won’t cause overheating.

  2. Don’t let your battery drop below the minimum voltage. When it always discharges to cut-off voltage, it will hurt its lifespan.

  3. Accidents will occur unless the manufacturer’s battery allows. Please try to charge it at small charge rate. Because this will extend battery life.

  4. If your battery has not been used for more than three months, please charge it to 3.7~3.9V. It will help store battery.

  • Battery protection device
    Usually there is no protection device. Lithium-ion batteries are dangerous and cannot withstand overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent and short circuit. Therefore, it is necessary to install a protective plate to prevent the danger of explosion due to overcharge, or Over-discharge and over-current can damage the battery, and prevent high-temperature burning caused by short-circuit.
  • Battery lifecycle
    Generally after 500 cycles (some manufacturers use 300 cycles), the capacity is still 80% of the marked.
